SCREEN DAILY: Reason8 closes in on ‘Pensive’ sales
UK sales outfit Reason8 has sold Lithuanian teen horror Pensive, directed by Jonas Trukanas and starring Gabija Bargailaite, across UK and the Americas.
Cinedigm has taken North America and will release on its streaming platform Screambox; newly-founded Bingo Films – part of 108 Media – has acquired UK and Ireland rights, with plans for a July 2023 release after the UK premiere at Frightfest Glasgow; and Just Real has Latin America.
After a group of privileged high school classmates destroy a set of life-size wooden statues during a wild graduation party, a mysterious killer begins picking the group off one by one.
The thriller is produced by Emilija Sluskonyte for Cometos, and premiered in the Baltic competition in Tallinn Black Nights Film Festival.
